Organisers say everything is ready. Monster Energy Grand Prix of Czechia starts this weekend
17. 6. 2026
The MotoGP World Championship will return to the Czech Republic in just a few days’ time. The 2026 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the Czech Republic will take place from 19 to 21 June at CREDITAS Autodrom Brno and, for the first time in its history, will get underway before the start of the summer holidays.
“I believe we have a fantastic race weekend ahead of us, and from an organisational point of view we are ready. The Grand Prix of Czechia is an exceptional sporting and social event, and we have done everything possible to make visitors feel even more comfortable than last year. At the same time, we know that many fans decide at the last minute, which is why, as part of the Experience Brno First Time initiative, we are still offering attractively priced one-day tickets for both Friday and Sunday’s race programme. It is an ideal opportunity for families with children, and generally for anyone who wants to experience the atmosphere of MotoGP for just one day,” says Karel Hubáček, Chairman of the Board of CREDITAS Autodrom Brno. As part of the initiative, Friday tickets for the natural spectator banks are available for adults at CZK 890, with free admission for children under 14. Discounted tickets are also available for Sunday’s seated grandstands.
“It is great that MotoGP has once again been firmly re-established in the Czech Republic. I consider this the result of intensive cooperation between a whole range of institutions, all of which deserve our sincere thanks. Naturally, we are also very much looking forward to the performance of Filip Salač, who is in the form of his life and is not afraid to talk about going for victory. A home rider is a huge draw for Czech fans, and I believe they will create exceptional support for him in the grandstands, just as they did last year,” says Jan Šťovíček, President of the Autoklub of the Czech Republic. In addition to Filip Salač, home fans will also be able to see the emerging generation of Czech racers. Roman Durdis, Adam Vyskočil and Viktor Čech will line up at the Masaryk Circuit in the Moto4 Northern Cup.
“The Grand Prix of the Czech Republic is one of the most important events of the year for Brno. It brings tens of thousands of fans from the Czech Republic and abroad to the city, where they spend their leisure time. It helps hotels, restaurants and other services, while also significantly strengthening Brno’s positive image as a city capable of hosting major events. I am extremely pleased that the world championship has returned and that we can continue to develop a tradition that is an inseparable part of our city,” says Markéta Vaňková, Mayor of Brno.
This year’s Czech round of the World Championship also has a charitable dimension for the South Moravian Region. In cooperation with the Moravian company PSí Hubík and designer Jakub Paleček, a special design has been created for a racing suit and helmet inspired by motifs from the South Moravian Region. The original set will subsequently be auctioned for a good cause. “We wanted to show that the Grand Prix is not only about speed and racing, but also about the powerful story of a region that has a great deal to offer MotoGP visitors. The result is a successful design that draws attention to South Moravia through a typical regional motif,” explains Jan Grolich, Governor of the South Moravian Region.
“With Autodrom Brno becoming part of the CREDITAS Group portfolio, our connection with the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic has become even stronger. We are proud to be directly involved in a new chapter in the rich history of this race. It is both an honour and a commitment for us to develop a venue of exceptional importance for Czech motorsport, the entire region and hundreds of thousands of fans,” says CREDITAS Group CEO Jiří Hrouda.
“The Police of the Czech Republic will be involved throughout the weekend in securing one of the largest events in the South Moravian Region. Traffic measures will be the key element, and the one most visible to the public, but we will also focus on the safety of visitors and residents of the city of Brno. The measures will be similar in scope to last year,” says Leoš Tržil, Director of the South Moravian Regional Police Directorate. Brno City Police, the South Moravian Region Emergency Medical Service and the South Moravian Region Fire and Rescue Service will also play a major role in securing the event.
To transport fans from the city centre, free shuttle services on lines C and Z will be provided in cooperation with the Brno City Transport Company. Line C will depart from the Hospital Bohunice transport hub, which spectators can reach from the city centre by tram line 8, supplemented over the weekend by lines P6 and P8. Circular bus line Z will operate on the route Autodrom Brno – Popůvky – Veselka – Žebětín – Autodrom Brno.
In connection with transport arrangements, the organisers point out that an alternative parking plan is ready in the event of extremely adverse weather. According to the current forecast, the rainy-weather scenario is not very likely, but fans are nevertheless advised to follow the latest information on the official Grand Prix of Czechia website, motogpczechia.com, and to follow the instructions of stewards and police on site.
The Grand Prix of Czechia has long ranked among the country’s most important sporting events. Following last year’s return of the World Championship to Brno, this year’s edition builds on the strong MotoGP tradition at the Autodrom Brno while offering Czech fans an especially compelling sporting storyline. Home representative Filip Salač arrives at the Grand Prix in excellent form, confirmed by his second place in the most recent race in Hungary, and will be aiming to fight for the top positions in front of his home crowd.
Tickets for the 2026 Monster Energy Grand Prix of Czechia remain available online via the official ticketing portal vstupenky.motogpczechia.com and will also be available for purchase at the ticket offices of CREDITAS Autodrom Brno.
